Watermelon detox

A red juicy fruit, loved by children and adults. Animals also like it. It is delicious, sweet and refreshing. But thats not all! Today we will tell you, why watermelon should be eaten, even in large quantities.

Watermelon is rich in magnesium, folic acid, potassium, beta-carotene and vitamins C, A and B. It is a great source of micro- and macronutrients. It hydrates the body quite effectively, thus it reduces wrinkles and helps in the fight against cellulite. It reduces blood pressure and cholesterol level. Due to its low-calorie and digestibility it can be used in slimming and cleansing treatments.

How should a watermelon detox look like? The recipe is very simple - you should eat 1 kg of watermelon per 10 kg of body weight. If you weigh 60 kg, you should eat 6 kg of watermelon a day. During this treatment you can eat three light meals - eg. yogurt or buttermilk for breakfast and supper, grilled fish or chicken for dinner. The treatment should last no longer than 3-4 days. If you want to enhance the effect of body cleansing - you can drink a smoothie with watermelon, lime and mint twice a day.

Watermelon smoothie recipe:

2-3 cups of diced watermelon
a glass of mineral water
1 lime
several leaves of mint

Put diced watermelon and lime into the blender, add remaining ingredients and mix them together.

This watermelon detox is ideal in summer to get rid of unnecessary weight, and to cleanse the body of toxins at the same time!
